I have had several very busy weeks and my time in the studio is very sporadic at the moment. I get a couple of hours here and there. I do work on some sketchbook pages, make a clay goddess or add beads to a brooch. Not much painting has been happening, because that takes a decent block of time.
Because of this, my inner slattern has taken over and this is the current state of my studio. I think I need to spend some time tidying up this weekend - although I would rather be making art!

It looks just like mine. Minus three cats. LOL
It is a well-loved studio. This is just how we are. <3
I am in good company, then! Also, I clearly need more cats.
Ok well my studio is a little more messy than this, (looks like a bomb went off even after a few weeks of cleaning up), good to know I am not the only one with a place that can be untidy :p
My wife forbids me to share any images of my studio, your den is well organised compared with the pit that is my work space. Every time I enter it is an achievement to get into a painting position.
Oh Jennifer, it must be the artist in us - studio spaces are often too small and get cluttered up so easily.
Mick, your wife is wise, it took a bit of effort to pluck up the courage to post mine.
Hi Rolina, I too have my messy corner. It not easy to spend time clearing the mess, I must have the mood. Happy weekend!
I think sometimes tidying the studio area is fun and gets you in the zone but be careful, you dont want it too pristine. Still loving the creative track you are on....
Thanks Tina - I like a good tidy every now and then, it does sometimes reinvigorate the muse!
the room is actually a decent sized double room lol, so should be big enough,...in theory :p
Looks like SUCH a great room to play in! I love the angeles in there - AND thank you for commenting on the Summer of Color - I'm SO happy to hear that you're joining in this year! xo
I have a talent for cleaning and organizing, but unfortunately I am not artistically inclined.
Thanks very much Nancy, Kristin and Linda - I think I prefer a bit more order, otherwise I can't find things and get frustrated!
This so makes me smile - I know I'm not alone in my studio slatternly ways. Delighted to know I'm in such good company.
Thanks Win, I do believe I am in the greatest of company!
