Summer of Colour Week 4

This week's colours are two reds and a metalic- very sensual.  I used cad red and crimson red and gold paint (the vertical text).

I used turquoise underneath as a cool complement to these warm colours and allowed it to show through in the shaped areas.  The painting is collage and acrylic, 10" x 10" on canvas.

I learned a lot with this painting and I felt I had a break-through in my quest to be more painterly and less precise.

The curved lines add even more to the sensuality of this piece. Beautiful painting.

painterly and less precise - that's what I like to do too but somehow I'm failing but you didn't. I'm not very good at judging abstract art but this looks great to me, I especially like the blue popping out behind the reds. I kind of think of the sea and what's down there.

visiting from SOC, have a lovely day.

What a stunner this piece is, Rolina - and that turquoise just makes the red and gold POP! Love, love, love it.

Rolina, I love your images - they also seem as though you could wear them.
I am really missing your posts. I hope you're just having a little break and that you're OK. Hope to see more of your beautiful posts very soon.

Thanks Sharon, for checking in on me. I have been a bit unwell, but I am on the mend now and hope to be back to normal posting soon. Have missed seeing what everyone else has been up to too!
